1. Eligibility for Full Refund

You may be eligible for a full refund of the AEAP program fee if:

1. The U.S. Chinese Culture Center (USCCC) has not offered you a teaching position by the designated departure date, unless the delay or cancellation is caused by factors beyond USCCC’s control (see Section 4).
2. You have met all application and payment deadlines and submitted all required documents by the official deadline listed on the USCCC website at the time of your application.

Note: The 3% online payment convenience fee and any cashback applied to your payment card are non-refundable.

2. Retention of Training Materials

If a full refund is granted, you may retain the TEFL training materials and certificate provided by USCCC at no additional cost.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

1. You fail to meet the eligibility requirements listed in Section 1.
2. You voluntarily withdraw from the program after enrollment.

4. Factors Beyond USCCC’s Control

Refunds will not be granted for cancellations or delays caused by circumstances beyond USCCC’s reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• War or political instability
• Natural disasters
• Epidemics or public health emergencies
• Other unforeseeable events outside USCCC’s control

5. Deferred Participation

1. If you are unable to participate in your assigned semester for personal reasons, you may request to defer your teaching candidacy for up to two (2) additional years.
2. If your participation is affected by circumstances listed in Section 4, USCCC will automatically extend your candidacy for up to ten (10) years within the AEAP program.

6. Refund Request and Processing

1. To request a refund, please submit a written request to usccc@chineseculturecenter.org.
2. Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval.

7. Policy Amendments

USCCC reserves the right to amend this refund policy. Any updates will be announced on the official USCCC website and will apply to applications submitted after the amendment date.

By participating in the AEAP, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.
